Intro to Cave

This course is an introduction to the basic principles of cave diving.  

Introductory cave diving is the second level in the development of safe techniques for cave diving, the first direct step towards the Cave Diver course.

The objective of this course is the perfection of skills taught in the cavern diving program, in addition to the adoption of additional techniques and procedures required for elementary cave dives.

The TDI Introductory Cave course takes a serious look at the skills needed to conduct safe and enjoyable cave dives. During the cave course your TDI Instructor will teach you the proper techniques for diving in a cave environment  while staying on the main line . Your TDI Intro to cave instructor will cover topics and skills such as:

  • Limits based on no decompression
  • Equipment configuration and preparation
  • Body posture and trim
  • Propulsion techniques
  • Cave conservation
  • Proper guideline procedures
  • S drills
  • Hand and light signals

Duration: 5 -7 days.
Water work: 8 – 10 Intro cave dives.
Prerequisites: 18 year old, TDI Cavern diver certification.
Course fee: $250 per day.
Certification: TDI.
