Recreational Diving Instruction
Discover Scuba
In this program a Dive Instructor will go with you over the basics about
scuba diving with a 20 minute audiovisual presentation. After that he will
show you in the shallow of Akumal Bay the basic skills that everybody learn
before a dive, he will give you enough time for you to master this basic drills.
Takes a bit over an hour to complete this and if you are comfortable you may
want to take the next step….Discover Scuba Diving.

Discover Scuba Diving
This is the second step on dive experiences, once you complete a Discover
Scuba and feel comfortable with the skills in the shallow you can go and explore
a 35ft deep reef, Akumal´s reefs are ideal for this, they are very calm and are full of life. The average dive time on the reef is 40 minutes.

DISCOVER SCUBA & DISCOVER SCUBA DIVING COMBO $115.00 USD
After this the common step for everyone is to become a certified diver and
these are the options:
PADI SCUBA DIVER
If you live in an area where diving is not common and you will dive only
on your vacations this is a great option. In only two days you can earn a certification
that allowed you to dive all over the world under the supervision of a dive
professional to a maximum depth of 40ftsw; maybe you will dive only a few times
per year, maybe you will feel more comfortable with supervision; maybe you
do not want to spend much time off your vacation this is a real nice option.
If you already take a Discover Scuba Course to dive every year on your vacation
complete this program and save time and money on your next vacation.

PADI OPEN WATER DIVER
If you live near water and plan to make diving a hobby and dive as often

UPDATE DIVE
Even though a dive certification never expires, it´s recommended by all training agencies to involve in a dive activity at least every 6 months. For seasonal divers this is hard so we offer you this UPDATE DIVE. A dive professional will share with you some of his experience and review with you the basics on equipment assembly, circuit of skills, dive planning and buoyancy so that first dive after a while is a total success.
