Open Water Scuba Diver
The PADI Open Water Course is the most popular course in the diving industry. This is the first level of certification in scuba diving. Upon completion of this course you will be a certified diver. As a PADI Open Water Diver you are trained to scuba dive with or without a diving professional guiding you. These are your credentials to dive anywhere in the world.
The Open Water Course is divided into three parts: 5 academic classes, 5 confined water classes, and 4 open water boat dives. The academic portion involves self-study, classroom discussion, quizzes and a final exam. Confined water includes watermanship assessment and an opportunity to practice skills in shallow water. The open water portion of the course includes four boat dives to beautiful coral reef sites.
If you are in good health, at least 10 years of age, and curious about the
underwater world, you should sign up now for this course.
